I have never been really comfortable with just asking a past client to rate me, tell me what I can do better, or even to write a simple statement that they enjoyed working with me. I guess when you first start out, the reluctance is probably grounded in fear. Its like, you kind of go through what they might say if they actually write a recommendation. "What if they didn't think I did a good job? What if they think I smell funny?" You know, normal things people worry about! But after helping a man buy his first house, he told me how much he appreciated the assistance. I thought about it, swallowed a little pride, and asked if I could send him a link to write just a few words about his experience. That my friends, leads me to my first written testimonial. Hopefully, I will add a lot more to it. Not so I can continue to post them all around the internet (which I fully plan to do), but that I may always portray myself in a light that clients will continue to want to write such nice things about me.
